>and this wouldn't be the first time Russia has been linked to a cable attack.
Was it Russia? The long stream of tweets fails to mention that in a clear way.
If an individual or group of individuals doesn't want to be hyper-focused, fine, don't do it, but it's a dangerous thing to judge others who may be different for being different form you.
Of course it is, it's beholden to advertisers. Chairman Pao saw to its taming, right before getting canned.
Perhaps it's to some extent personal preference, but those preferences grew out of having experienced both settings under discussion. One thing that you can't get around though: getting sick is much easier inside of a city -- this is why I can't understand how many of the same individuals who often are very fond of cities can still be after also being those who are most concerned about pandemics. Research also has shown that ideal human groups are no larger than around 200. Extrapolate that to get an idea of how pathological a city-based culture can become.
If you absorb the full picture painted by the famous "mouse utopia" experiment, you can get some further insight into what, over the course of decades, built my own understanding and perspective on different living modes, especially as both relate to city life. Its goal was to talk about overpopulation, but it more accurately could comment on over-concentrated population.
Any regulation is an advantage to large over small, at the right level of large vs. small, since the burden of optimizing to win is more easily borne by the former. In some cases, it's just more obvious.
Since moving to the US, it is more expensive (than next to nothing), but I actually get good care. Several conditions that were ignored or misdiagnosed for me are now cured. My life might be significantly shorter had I not come here.
If NY does this, the near zero chance of my moving there ever would go to absolute 0. It is a terrible system for any place that does not have infinitesimal state or national government expenses and more-than-60% kind of taxes (e.g., Scandinavian countries).
