If the article reported that the data were being sent unencrypted to a Russian server, would that be considered Russophobia?
Can you elaborate on some of these things and provide some reasoning as to why they are markers of inauthenticity?
To see for yourself: run a non-trivial batch script in cmd.exe with plenty of gotos and check out all the CreateFile calls in [Process Explorer](https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processexpl...).
On a similar note, text protos actually work very well as configuration files and are used by SyntaxNet/Parsey McParseface [1] and Bazel's CROSSTOOL config [2].

When Google published the Dremel paper in 2010, it explained how this structure is preserved within column store.

The definition and repetition levels encoding is so efficient for semistructured data that other open source columnar formats, such as Parquet, also adopted this technique.
Parquet is an open-source reimplementation of the columnar storage format described in Google's 2010 Dremel paper. Capacitor is Google's next-generation columnar storage format. On the same note, proper modularization of source files also encourages better discipline for dependencies among modules, such as discouraging circular dependencies.
You can see more examples of CNF in the now open-sourced Windows-Driver-Frameworks: https://github.com/Microsoft/Windows-Driver-Frameworks
True, XMLHttpRequest was good for the world. My distaste for XML generally stems from some particularly bad experiences I have had working with XML configuration files meant for humans to modify and some particularly poorly-implemented tools for working with said files. :)
Keep in mind that another major reason people remember Aaron Swartz because of everything he has contributed to the world of technology [1].

Also, keep in mind that different industries are accustomed to different sets of terminology. Engineers at tech companies don't usually use terms such as "product delivery" and "Continuous Application Lifecycle Management." To us, "multi-cloud orchestrator" is a much clearer way to describe this technology.
No need to be so condescending.
