Shows location of my ISP provider , google maps on phone using triangulation is accurate

Agree , but I think drastic drop in number of active users will make them realize , people are actually concerned about their privacy and there was something wrong .

Realized this late , but saving lot of time since past 6 months . Deactivated facebook , and find more time to actually go out and socialize. Don't even know if it was adding to efficiency.

Isn't this model inspired Communism and is a well known fact ?

I agree. I would prefer Switzerland over U.S when it comes to long term capital gains tax for my stocks and other taxes as well as quality of life.

you are asking too much permissions. Why you want to update my profile?

Paper is one of my favorite app on ipad. Pencil looks innovative and promising . But I was using the app effectively with stylus, also palm detection is something which can be done at application level.

I am from India and lot of my friends find this one moving.

There were no such riots , citations please !

Are you subscribed to map box? It's fast no doubt, but why you didn't move to free alternatives to reduce cost?

As far as I remember , similar permissions are required when you install app for "Uber" cabs.

Dear downvoter , please tell me something innovative you did in life , other than throwing downvotes . What is happening to HN ? I work in a small start-up and I know what efforts it takes to build something instead of downvoting or discouraging.

This is innovative, really like this concept. Wish them Good Luck !

Why should I give my social login?

India as a nation is not poor , its the political class and public administration which is involved in corruption is poor. Here is the list of scams : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_scandals_in_India . Coal scam is over $25 billion , CWG scam is worth $29 billion.

Now I wonder if international media would have criticized such administration and if this amount of money which is equivalent to GDP of few nations would have been used to eradicate poverty.

>"India's Mars program promises to return useful engineering and scientific data for a price that puts other space agencies to shame!" Even after so many scams and corruptions around , Indian scientists are able to launch this mission at such a low cost, it's really appreciable.

Can't agree more

Sample set is biased , and upon that it's quality which matters not quantity. While considering top firms like Google, Facebook,Linkedin, Twitter etc. , it turns out to be other way round. There is lot of scope of improvements , especially to boost start-up culture here in India.

Can't agree more. Myself and few friends are part of an "AAD" initiative where we visit deprived and apart from donating money for basic amenities, we take care of school fees and other things. We make sure to visit and actually engage with people other than third party donations. I am sure there are others who do the same.

waiting for firefox OS

True , but these days, democracy : "Buy"/by the people , "Far"/for the people , "off"/of the people

Concerned countries should work together to achieve same goal. Month ago, similar signals came from Brazil.

Agree , even for development you can compile almost all programs light or heavy on a powerful machine built 3 years ago.

I still use my 5 year old desktop (upgraded twice) for development. I like to open box and upgrade it myself , if I want to do similar on laptop I think twice . Freedom to upgrade it yourself is a bliss.

How will they earn then? Most of their profits are from Ads.

Snap , just read somewhere the firefox browsers also got internal backing from Google :/

Looking forward to it , scared of Google now ! Although Android is good, but privacy is more of a concern.

Lack of innovations and talent in-house

Agree , and there are beautiful Jewish actresses too.
