This work looks promising, but it's important to note that the authors didnt prove worst case time complexity.

This algorithm can get much, much slower than O(n)

nullbyte··on Johnny-Five v1.0 – JavaScript Robotics and IoT Framework
As much as I love JavaScript, I have always preference synchronous languages (like, say, Python) for robotics programming.
nullbyte··on We Don’t Run Cron Jobs (2016)
My thoughts exactly, this is a perfect use case for Jenkins.

Talk about reinventing the wheel!

nullbyte··on This is how Doom generates random numbers (1993)
This is the random number generator used in the original release of Doom (the 1993 video game).

I was leafing through the source code and stumbled upon "random.c"

I found it amusing to see how they generated random integers; basically, they have a hardcoded array of "random" values, and whenever the game requires a new random int, it will return the element at the array index and increment the index by 1.

Sort of, but they also represent a massive amount of Bitcoin's hashrate themselves.
nullbyte··on Homebrew 1.5.0
I believe "brew update" updates your package list and version indexes.

It's exactly like apt-get update vs apt-get upgrade, if you're familiar with those.

I love HN comment like this. Seems like there's an expert in everything here!
nullbyte··on Ask HN: What's the recommended method of adding authentication to a REST API?
What's so bad about JWT's? The cryptographic protocol is sound.
nullbyte··on A proof-of-concept system for counter-surveillance against spy drones
It takes more CPU and battery to compress the video than to leave it raw. So sending a lossless or semi lossless version of the video should theoretically work.
