nullserver··on Tinnitus linked to undetected auditory nerve damage
Could be TMJ. Look up TMJ massage by Bob and Brad. Could also be high cranial pressure. Look up IIH for that.
nullserver··on FBI Director: FISA Section 702 warrant requirement a 'de facto ban'
But think of the poor people that just want target to political opponents!
nullserver··on BlackRock and housing: Setting the record straight
Leaking gas, which in a first for me didn’t smell like rotten eggs. They kept blaming the new carpet or paint or whatever else.

and to add to the fun, carbine monoxide from 2 sources. Included alarm with house was faulty.

Plus we were all acting like zombies. Bad smell made us keep windows open most of the time. Otherwise would have died. As it was gas company freaked out at how bad it was

nullserver··on BlackRock and housing: Setting the record straight
Rented a house for Invitation Homes, which is owned by black rock. Showed up all the windows were open didn’t think much of it; signed the contract.

Closed the windows, hour later call them up, complaining about the chemical smell. Took three months to get resolved. I was in an out of the hospital for months. Years for family to recover.

nullserver··on Parkinson's patient able to walk 6km without problems after spinal implant
Blood thinners. Turned out I was genetically prone to clotting, which went bonkers after gas exposure. No amount Healthy lifestyle was going to help, needed something to stop clotting
nullserver··on Parkinson's patient able to walk 6km without problems after spinal implant
Had massive health problems dozens of doctors. Ended up being a combination of things, but changing diet to an autoimmune protocol diet was the number 2 thing that made a difference.
nullserver··on Drunk grizzlies keep getting hit by trains in Montana
I worked at a pet store in college. This mother came in with her daughter and they wanted to get a Pet. They weren’t sure what but definitely not a rat, and definitely not a male anything.

I worked with them for about three hours, and at the end sent them home with a male rat. Both delighted as can be.

He was a very social and playful one that I had been planning on taking home.

nullserver··on Drugmakers are set to pay 23andMe to access consumer DNA
Spent several years with a mystery illness that nearly killed me. Turned out to be genetic. Easy treatment, but only if you’re aware. (Factor 5 Leiden)

Kind of regret not getting the full work up done at one of places. Maybe would prevented a number of blood clots.

nullserver··on Virtual meetings tire people because we're doing them wrong, says new research
When concentrating on a task, Me and one of my daughters both get asked constantly why we are so angry. Apparently it’s so bad that we both get lots of interruptions from people that are greatly concerned.

Not sure if it’s an ADHD hyper-focus thing or what.

nullserver··on Virtual meetings tire people because we're doing them wrong, says new research
Had a job during pandemic that they insisted on 3-6 hours of meetings a day. No breaks between. We were not supposed to turn off microphone at any point. We got company to agree that meetings would be 25 or 55 minutes so we could have short breaks. Managers constantly ignored. Was extremely awkward and stressful. Finally people just started ignoring all the rules. They had to sell the company because they couldn’t keep anyone that was actually good at the job.
nullserver··on Notes on making a multiplayer "doing nothing app"
Seems like you would enjoy geocaching
nullserver··on Study links blue light from smartphones or tablets to early puberty
Used to have extreme migraines. Any exposure to Fluorescent light would leave me mentally disabled within 10 minutes. So I could enter any grocery stores. Or go into work. Blue light filter glasses did little to nothing.

I got some FL-41 glasses that covered top and sides. I would be fine for about 2 hours under those lights. Eventually light leakage would get to me. But it made a drastic difference.

nullserver··on Risk of rare blood clotting higher for Covid-19 than for vaccines
Personal Experience. I clot very easy. (Aggressive Factor 5 Leiden) A few days without a blood thinner means a stoke or other issue. Visual issues always come first so I get warning before major symptoms start.

After having Covid I basically can only miss one pill. Anything more and things go bad quickly.

I hate the side effects, and they make working a challenge, so I had been trying to walk a line of just enough to not cause problems. I have no margin now.

As for vaccine. Well it terrifies me. I can’t up the blood thinners any higher, can’t handle any additional clotting. Of course a second round round of covid could be worse.

nullserver··on IT companies warn in open letter: EU wants to ban encryption
End to end in chat? They blacklist articles in chat already.

So there is some level of man in the middle already.

nullserver··on France cuts two nuclear-powered submarines in half to make one new one
Ask people from Ukraine.
nullserver··on Israel may have destroyed Iranian centrifuges simply by cutting power
https://www.geonames.org/IL/largest-cities-in-israel.html

Sorry I didn’t do a full break down on on how to eliminate all life in a country. Others have certainly made efforts to exterminate Jews. Perhaps you would care to study how that went.

Only a few big cities. So maybe a dozen nukes would be sufficient.

nullserver··on Israel may have destroyed Iranian centrifuges simply by cutting power
Yes absolutely.
nullserver··on Is content moderation a dead end?
HN is very heavy on Academics / Developers / Engineers.

Very different demographics then world at large.

nullserver··on Intel in talks to produce chips for automakers within six to nine months
Ancient article I read talked about how with a single press announcement on Intel’s upcoming 586 architecture. 2 or 3 competitors simply gave up.

Never mind that by the time Intel actually delivered the other players would have been at the same tech level.

nullserver··on Adobe charges subscription cancellation fee
There are reoccurring payment vendors that offer this as a feature. At one point I had to cancel bank account. Got a call for a recruiter for such a company. Not a chance.
nullserver··on Every Mathematical Theory Is Held Inside a Physical Substrate
Plank length was found because it fixed equations.

I don’t think any equivalent has been found for time units. Not that can be experimentally proven yet.

Would love to see time proven one way or the other.

nullserver··on Facebook slow to address political manipulation outside wealthy, western nations
That’s missing the point. And frankly victim blaming.

Allowing all the security info to be changed moments after logging on with no way to put them back is absurd.

nullserver··on Facebook slow to address political manipulation outside wealthy, western nations
Off topic.

Last week wife got an email that her Facebook was logged into. Told her to open app and change password immediately.

Too late. Account email and phone number already changed. No way to use old ones to get control back.

15 year old account with a huge amount of memories gone.

Best possible was to indicate a problem, so account is disabled. But no way to use it anymore.

Apparently this has happened to around half of her cohorts. It’s now part of life to just make new accounts periodically.

Utterly shocking that account email and phone can be changed in 20 minutes and no way to change them back.

nullserver··on Vitamin D Resistance as a Possible Cause of Autoimmune Diseases
Helps with Sjogrens. Stops destruction of organs. improves energy level.

Unfortunately it drastically increases cranial pressure, anxiety. Can’t hold down a job on it.

So slow body destruction it is.

nullserver··on Vitamin D Resistance as a Possible Cause of Autoimmune Diseases
Magnesium, Vit E, turmeric, fish oil. B complex. Plaqunial

Had to give up the plaqunial. Shame it helped a lot

nullserver··on Vitamin D Resistance as a Possible Cause of Autoimmune Diseases
Had severe vit d shortage and an autoimmune condition (Sjogrens) Was basically at deaths door. Started heavy vit D. And several others.

Huge improvement. Not cured. Life is still hard. But I have a life now.

nullserver··on 'Brain glue' could help restore circuitry after severe traumatic brain injury
Factor 5 Leiden, genetic disorder. It went crazy after a gas leak.

1 day without blood thinners and I have visual artifacts. 2 days and my right side goes numb and I lose the ability to write. Goes downhill from there.

nullserver··on 'Brain glue' could help restore circuitry after severe traumatic brain injury
Would be interested in trying this.

I spent 3 years getting small strokes a couple times a week. Now I get them every 2-3 months.

Each time it takes 2-8 weeks to recover from. Always with some permanent lose in one ability or another’s.

nullserver··on A man is looking for the friends who shipped him overseas in a crate in 1965
Did 13 hours with a 2 year old. Who thought kicking the seat in front of her was great fun.

First 3 hours of the flight was me bent over holding her legs still.

Turns out 5% of the population have a reverse reaction to Benadryl. They become absurdly hyper on it.

nullserver··on What defines a great company culture?
Now and then I’ll let them get away with it. Does make me smile.

But I have no qualms saying no most of the time. Immunity did take time to develop.

Today they gave their best pleading voice for chickens. All while holding baby chicks. Super cute.
