Founder of HalalCodeCheck and independent Product & Technology Consultant helping startups and growing companies move from idea → MVP → traction.

I work at the intersection of product strategy, AI automation, technical execution, and growth systems. Recent work includes building HalalCodeCheck, a product intelligence and verification platform serving 25,000+ monthly users across 20 countries, alongside projects in sports analytics, inventory management, OCR-powered verification systems, and AI-assisted business workflows.

Whether you're launching a new product, modernizing an existing platform, implementing AI-driven automation, or building scalable growth systems, I focus on practical solutions that create measurable business outcomes.

## What I Help With

- MVP Development: Turning ideas and rough concepts into production-ready products. - Product Strategy & Technical Direction: Bringing clarity to complex technical and product decisions. - AI Automation & Workflows: Implementing practical AI solutions that improve operations and customer experience. - Growth Systems: Building analytics platforms, programmatic SEO engines, and automated data pipelines. - Platform Modernization: Reducing technical debt and preparing systems for long-term growth.

## Why Work With Me

- Founder Perspective: I build and operate products myself, not just for clients. - Proven Execution: 25+ years of hands-on experience across software, sports analytics, e-commerce, publishing, oil & gas, and consumer platforms. - Business-Oriented Approach: Technology is a means to an outcome, not the outcome itself. - Ownership Mindset: I focus on shipping, learning, and creating momentum rather than generating reports and roadmaps.

Always happy to discuss products, AI, growth, startups, and the evolving halal technology ecosystem.

pythonbase··on Ask HN: How do you follow blogs / curate a content stream for yourself?
I use Feedly to curate blogs and websites. Some content come through email newsletters, then there are Twitter lists and Facebook groups to follow.
pythonbase··on Ask HN: "Older” developers, what's the next career phase for you?
Early 40s, back in coding after a hiatus of 8 years. Doing freelance work and probably continue on the path for next few years. Trying to find steady client(s) that can take off some hunting pressure.

Also managing some side projects for passive earning streams.

pythonbase··on Ask HN: Best free compute and other resources for startups?
Thanks for sharing the insights. Do you think one should stick with $5/month droplets or hit and try the low end VPS?
pythonbase··on Ask HN: Best free compute and other resources for startups?
Have heard horror stories about the cheap VPS offered at LowEndTalk and similar outfits. What's your average up time? and can you recommend any service provider?

pythonbase··on Ask HN: Sources of remote dev work with minimal human interaction?
This sounds like an ideal working arrangement, in contrast with the likes of Upwork where you have to sell your soul to the client, and the marketplace.

Also interested to know if such jobs exist.

pythonbase··on Everything I know about freelancing
Great write-up and a lot of practical advice.

I am freelancing for some time now and the hardest part is to score and retain clients.

pythonbase··on Ask HN: Resources/Steps for Becoming a Consultant?
Some great tips shared in this thread.

I'd also suggest reading up and following Jonathan Stark and his ditching hourly mantra.

pythonbase··on Show HN: I'm Looking for Python Stories
Sure. I will send a draft soon.
pythonbase··on Show HN: I'm Looking for Python Stories
I have recently automated image renaming on Dropbox to rename thousands of image files. Also wrote a script to do on-the-fly translation of Excel sheets from German to English.

Are these two "stories" compelling enough to get your attention? :)
