I love the pico version! Especially the rear view option is super useful! Now I wish to see the same for all the various ESP* dev boards out there.

Labelling the installation of DokuWiki as rebellion just made my day :-D

Everyone who missed the thread, please consider adding your blog here: https://indieblog.page/suggest

If you want a more casual approach then to right away import 600 feeds into your reader, check out the feed options at IndieBlog.page - it gives you daily random posts not only from the 600 URLs of that recent thread but also from a similar one back in April last year and a bunch of other indie sources...

That's what https://indieblog.page was made for

Quick reminder: you can register your personal blog at https://indieblog.page/ and everyone interested in discovering new personal blogs can check it out.

I will later add the blogs mentioned in this thread.

Back in the day all wikis used to be open for editing, unfortunately spam and vandalism has made it rare. Anyway, as another random visitor, I simply reverted that change.

Funny, I just built and set up a public bench this weekend, though not in a park but in a rural area. https://www.splitbrain.org/blog/2023-06/03-guerrilla_banking

Absolutely! One of my favorite things on my own website is the random button which takes me to a random page. It's a fun way to be teleported back in time to some post in the past.

My first Blog post was 22 years ago: https://www.splitbrain.org/blog/2002-02/05-2002_02_05

It has been on the same software (DokuWiki) for 18 years now: https://www.splitbrain.org/blog/2005-11/25-splitbrain_relaun...

How time flies when you're having fun ;-)

Awesome project. But $300 is still quite steep for a thing I might maybe use once a year. I really wish these thermal sensors came down in price...

This looks super interesting. I'll give this a go for a while to see how much I like it.

Shameless plug: There are still lots of personal blogs out there and an easy way to stumble on them is https://indieblog.page/

This. So much this. I wish I could make my colleagues understand.

Berlin native here. My mother (also Berlin-born) said "Träum süß von sauren Gurken". So not a cologne-only thing.

> A spokesperson for the Commission told Devex that the promotional post’s purpose was to "increase awareness of what the EU does on the world stage" among 18-to-35 year olds found "primarily on TikTok and Instagram"

Huh. If that's the goal, wouldn't investing into TikTok and Instagram content make much more sense?

https://date-fns.org/ links to these "sponsors" with rel="noopener noreferrer" - how is that even worth anything to them?

Edit: nevermind, I mixed it up with rel="nofollow" which would be worthless to spammers.

Well, if I'd tell my employees to do something stupid, I'd expect them to tell me why it's a stupid idea. But I also wouldn't fire them for talking back to me...

Nice compilation. May I suggest my own project https://indieblog.page as an additional way to discover new blogs to read?

This sounds like something I always wanted. But I can't really figure out if I understand correctly from your website. So could you please clarify: when I edit the keyword of a photo in your software, will this keyword be written back into the EXIF data of the original file? If so, you just got a new paying user.

All of them. It's called an airbag.

Shameless plug: https://indieblog.page allows you to discover new blogs through the power of randomness. (previously on discussed on hackernews)

Not OP, but I actually use it in home assistant. I manage all my integrations and dashboards with home assistant but automations are so much easier to do in nodered than HA. Installing nodered via HA's supervisor is a one click affair and it is automatically connected with all your devices.

my own blog. for like 20 odd years now. https://www.splitbrain.org

Interesting how this idea resurfaces every few years again. I dabbled in it 12 years ago: https://www.splitbrain.org/blog/2010-02/13-creating_art_by_d...

Luckily MaxLeiter already did that for me: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30963947

RSS Feeds added. I may tweak this in the coming days.

Unfortunatly, it's currently heavily biased towards the HN crowd because of the sources I used to initially seed the list.

You should get exactly that. It might take a few seconds as I try to find the RSS feed right away... Just try submitting again, it will tell you if the link is already in the submissions.

That's an interesting idea. Would you expect one RSS item with let's say 5 links in the item body? Or 5 RSS items directly linking to the original post?
