stdclass··on My Band Has 1M Spotify Streams. Want to See Our Royalties? (2016)
As an artist with 250k streams myself, I don't really think that you should directly compare it to CD sales etc.

If you compare it like this: a single play on a popular radio show can get you 250k listeners and you get payed well below 50$ per play.

So getting a couple grand for 1mio plays vs. ~250$ for some airtime on the radio seems like a decent deal to me.

stdclass··on Show HN: Simple CSS Button
The "hard" part about styling buttons is making them look the same for <a>, <button>, <input>, which is solved like a million times.

Your solution only addresses <div>, which is a accessibility nightmare.

stdclass··on A Linguist Explains Why 'Laurel' Sounds Like 'Yanny'
I ran the original sample from vocabulary.com through the Ableton Equalizer with a low-cut and high-cut respectively and can't hear anything then a clear "Laurel" every time.
stdclass··on A Linguist Explains Why 'Laurel' Sounds Like 'Yanny'
I can't hear "needle", no matter how much I concentrate on it.

The is a clear S in there, also I can clearly hear it's two syllables - where do you guys hear the third?

Everything that can be modified by the user is not suitable. The price must be stored on the server side, everything on the client side is subject to modification.

stdclass··on Biggest drop in Facebook organic reach we have seen
That's exactly what annoys me about it.

I liked those pages, so I choose to see the content.

Their solution to put it into the "Explore"-Tab, mixed with content of Pages I didn't even like makes it worthless.

stdclass··on Show HN: Hurricane Tweets
There is already some stiling on the page, it's just not fancy. And that extra 100 bytes to make it readable don't make a difference.

Maybe it's the Electro Harmonix KEY9. I own this one and you can play single notes and chords which sound like an electric piano / wurlitzer etc.

No it only blocks cookies, but not the javascript code from facebook that gets loaded on the pages you visit. If you want to get rid of that, install a browser plugin like Ghostery (0).

stdclass··on Microsoft won't back down from Windows 10 nagware 'trick'
There is an important difference between a new feature on a social network and a whole new OS. Many people have software and/or drivers installed that won't work on a newer OS.
stdclass··on How Far Is Europe Swinging to the Right?
1. There are 6.382.507 eligible voters, of which 4.643.154 have voted, thats 72,7%. [1]

2. The ORF did a survey, where it turned out, that 76% of people who have an education of a-level or higher voted for the left-wing candiate. Only 38% of the people with education less than a-level voted for the left-wing candiate. [2]
