uncoder0··on Twitter locks nypost account for reporting on Hunter Biden HDD
No idea on the veracity of NY Post's claims but, Twitter earlier was blocking any links posted to the article about the HDD @nypost.com as 'unsafe' which is their typical action when a link contains malware. Facebook also has been blocking /deboosting sharing of this article.

I see a great deal of bias in these actions by the tech companies. Any negative unsourced article about the president is allowed to be shared but, articles about his opponent or his adult children are instantly and aggressively de-platformed. It's a very scary precedent regardless of your politics.

uncoder0··on Amazon stops development of Crucible
Data isn't necessarily how you build great PC/Console games. Amazon probably killed this with an over-reliance on data. Just look at the mash-up of features were included in the launch. See: https://www.businessinsider.com/one-phrase-shows-amazons-dat... & https://www.pcgamer.com/crucible-review/

It was basically was a paint by numbers game with limited creativity.

uncoder0··on Blocking Traffic While Protesting Could Become Felonies in FL
I don't know if you can say that all of the people who have been involved in these incidents are fascists. During the first outbreak of protests in Austin my car was surrounded when they went onto the frontage roads heading for I35. I knew the side streets well enough to get out of there but, if they had started hitting my car or trying to pull me out for whatever reason I would have sped off too. I had no intention of getting caught up in the protests they had just started and happened to be on the route I was taking.
uncoder0··on Work is changing profoundly and NYC will not be able to adapt
Is there really much middle class left in this country to speak of? [1] There is a bit but it's rapidly declining.

uncoder0··on Toonify Yourself
It shrekify's all men look at leo in the examples. I think it was mostly trained on women's faces. Those seem to get better results.
uncoder0··on Google says its carbon footprint is now zero
I've always been bewildered by the west's push to 'de-industrialize' it seems to be a terrible strategy to combat climate change and serves only to enrich corporations while weakening a country's geo-political position. Nations need to be able to produce things or they become dependent on other actors who have a track record of acting in bad faith, see China and Covid 19 PPE shortage as one example.
uncoder0··on Tim Sweeney on Apple and Google
iOS and Android + Google Play Services is probably what they are referring to.
uncoder0··on Restream: Stream live to many social platforms at once
It's essentially nginx-rtmp as a service with an SLA (maybe?)
uncoder0··on Facebook prohibits music or music listening experience on Live
Can't recommend pretzel rocks enough. They have a great team Nate is awesome. They also genuinely care about creator's being fairly compensated.
uncoder0··on Ninth Circuit rules NSA's bulk collection of Americans' call records was illegal
Pardon my ignorance. How can Congress grant immunity from the Judiciary? I thought that was only a power that resided in the Executive?
uncoder0··on Navy F/A-18 squadron commander's take on AI repeatedly beating real pilot
Yeah, why wouldn't an f22 for example just turn and run from these drones at nearly mach 2.
uncoder0··on Apple to kill Epic’s accounts on Friday the 28th
In the US?
uncoder0··on Epic Games has filed legal papers in response to Apple [pdf]
Epic games store for iOS. Automatically accessible from all games packaged for mobile built on the unreal engine. I imagine that is their goal as well.
uncoder0··on Epic Games has filed legal papers in response to Apple [pdf]
Sounds like they'll have lots of damages to point to.
uncoder0··on Epic Games has filed legal papers in response to Apple [pdf]
Almost like it was the plan all along. You don't write a 65 page legal filing in an hour.
uncoder0··on Epic direct payment on mobile
To clarify, I work in the gaming industry and I've heard rumors of large publishers negotiating better terms when they get to a certain magical number of transactions/gross rev. I'm not sure I've read any reporting on it. The sources I heard this from would have been in a position to know but, I can't really point to any hard data. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were true. I've heard it can be as low as 10-15% but again I don't have any evidence on that.
uncoder0··on Epic direct payment on mobile
Many mobile games are built on unreal. They could make this an option for developers to simply 'turn on' in their mobile games built on their engine.
uncoder0··on Epic direct payment on mobile
Are you sure Epic hasn't negotiated some sort of deal with Xbox and playstation to lower the cut to a more reasonable rate given their volume of transactions.
uncoder0··on Debt collector profits soar with people flush and easy to find
$5 as in 20 quarters? wow when was that law written 1947?
uncoder0··on Debt collector profits soar with people flush and easy to find
There are also your state benefits. Which in texas aren't that great but combined it would come to ~1150 a week for me. And on average it was about ~800/wk here from what I've read which is ~40k a year. Normally it'd be 9,800/yr for that group.
uncoder0··on Journalists’ Twitter use shows them talking within smaller bubbles
I'm not the person you're addressing but I seem to remember this pew research article that sort of fits the bill of what he's describing.

uncoder0··on Google discontinues the Pixel 4, nine months after release
Fingerprint was far better imo
uncoder0··on Kharkovchanka – Soviet Antarctic Cruisers [video]
Why would we invest the resources? Mars provides a huge benefit to humanity Antarctica unless just used as a testing ground for Mars doesn't have the same benefits to justify the expense.
uncoder0··on Teenager spends $20k of parents’ money on Twitch donations without them knowing
Yeah the donations don't go through Amazon unless it was gifted subs, subscription or bits.
uncoder0··on Boeing lands $1.2B deal for eight F-15EX fighter jets
Interesting I'll have to ask the guys I know at ACC. I mostly play with the planes in sims and they seem useful. The dollar amount isn't really a consideration then.

Most the guys I know think throwing away f22 production was the dumbest thing we could have done.

uncoder0··on Guns are selling out across America
Yeah, I've gone with a buddy. We don't do the bait stuff because it's pest control they're everywhere. 3AM with FLIRs and a spotlight hunting hogs on one of his random neighbors ranches. Gotta keep the pests under control.
uncoder0··on Guns are selling out across America
I'd love that data. I'm sure someone will publish something with that. I'm personally in a red state and the agitators were kept on a short lease by the police. Just a few broken windows and a temporarily blocked freeway. Nothing burned down.

And you are right non-exhaustive was an understatement. Haha.

uncoder0··on Guns are selling out across America
You sound reasonable you should acquire a firearm if you want. By the way if you're looking for a good community of left leaning responsible gun owners check out /r/liberalgunowners on reddit. Most gun communities can be more right leaning due to selection bias.
uncoder0··on Guns are selling out across America
Not exhaustive but, compare the below with Chicago or Minneapolis.

uncoder0··on Guns are selling out across America
I don't know. Tons of people in Texas use AR pattern rifles with large cartridges to hunt boar. You're going to want Semi-Auto if you miss or if you get charged, those hogs are mean.
