But yes, it's hard to test immune responses without hurting a living animal, since you'd have to somehow have a non-alive immune system to test on otherwise
tl;dw - The background is defined with 20 bits, which are repeated or mirrored to make the background (eg 00000000111111110000 would either make the background 0000000011111111000000000000111111110000 or 0000000011111111000000001111111100000000). If you write to WSYNC ($D40A), the processor pauses until the start of the next scanline. Then you have to count machine cycles to make sure you modify the background at the right time to make the two halves different. Repeat on each scanline to fully define the background. There is no "framebuffer" per se
The M is 1/2 of an M wide?
I knocked up some quick code for drawing on an image a while back as part of a work project, but I've never actually checked how well it works on gigantic images. It calculates the bounding box of your stroke every frame, and uses an SDF-based system to calculate the pixels of the stroke (so if you draw quickly, it will correctly join up the points). I didn't focus too heavily on performance, other than making sure it was good enough to not slow down the app, but since its speed only depends on how much you're actually drawing per frame, rather than the size of the canvas, I'd imagine it would hold up reasonably on gigantic images?
I mean it's not exactly hard to go to openstreetmap, search up the place name and get a list of accounts that have edited/created the feature...
It's already got the power to be obnoxious at you
- An old desktop running alpine that hosts two minecraft servers
- Another old desktop acting as a NAS. Currently planning on migrating that to a mini lenovo pc to reduce size and unify everything. I have a single HDD that I've split into partitions for projects and Linux ISOs, currently serving over samba. It also has a transmission client on it to download the Linux ISOs. Probably the most useful box on my network
- A mini lenovo PC that runs homeassistant, and in future will probably turn into my NAS, once I can find a good storage solution for it (Not much expandability inside the box itself, but it has some usb 3 ports. Id put my existing 3.5" HDD on a usb sata adapter, but they also need 12v. Currently looking into an NVME dock or multi-terabyte laptop SSDs)
- A raspberry pi that will, in future, run my website (currently still working on the software for it)
If we didnt have word processors or templated document generation, we would have people who write things properly, typeset documents etc. If we didnt have compilers etc, we would have people who translated higher level languages into machine code
