two big problems:
throwit away and buy another habit.
Evolution of fossil fuel compared to consumption. without formulating a thesis, it takes a long time for natural processes to yield "fossil fuel" in terms of millions of years if dating by isotopic abundance is not fudged. We are burning/using fossil fuels and releasing what was apparently captured over millions of years, over a span of [a couple hundred?] years. there is a decompression problem here, we dont have the slack space in our ecosphere to allow this highly concentrated resource to be opened up full bore like we have done.
... that make products that we buy?
Those people who put their travel porn pics on Instagram should be among the first :)
To push back mildly: watching others' travels is a substitute to traveling yourself. Every Instagram celebrity is thousands, if not tens of thousands, people who get the travel experience without having to burn the fuel for actual travel.
