Personally I never stopped using AWStats to process my nginx access logs. Its appearance is "rustic" for sure, but it provides every statistic I care about: https://www.awstats.org/
Came here to essentially post the same thing. If you're on some form of basic hosting with a Cpanel, you probably already have it installed or a click away.
Google can't entice me enough to bother adding load to my sites.
