I have only had one experience with RSS and that was back in the day with EZtv. I would subscribe to all my favourite shows and when they would air on tv the RSS feed would find it automatically and download the show. I remember someone asking me how come I didn’t have cable and was telling them that I just stream my tv. Said look, loaded up my computer and went to my downloads. What made it even better was since I am on the west coast the show I wanted to show him had already aired on the easy coast 3 hours earlier so streamers had already upped it commercial free. So I had my show commercial free prior to it airing locally. That was my experience with RSS and yes it was wonderful.
