China population is 1.4 billion, they managed to become a global power in record time, they are totally self reliant and self sufficient, they built their own industries from pharma, to tech, to agriculture, to defense, to space, they developed their own COVID vaccine, they built their own space station (the US still rely on a soviet made one), and they plan a manned moon mission in less than 7 years
Not even Germany can pretend having done that
The picture you describe is very dishonest
Facts are facts, whether you like them or not, whether they help with your agenda or not, argumentation and discussion seeks nuance, argument, bring the nuance if you know it, educate your reader, being disingenuous about something doesn't help anybody, it makes them blind, it makes them not able to come up with the conclusion by themselves, they become deviant and defiant
When it's one sided and can't be challenged, usually it's called propaganda, or perhaps racism
