Jews were citizens and residents, part of the society. Illegal immigrants are not and the society has a say in legal migration policy. People don't want illegal immigration at all and they want to limit legal migration, especially from Islamic countries.

Any ruling parties that continue to let illegal migrants in big numbers already lost any credibility. People are not that dumb. They want the issue solved and they know current main stream parties won't do that.

If you are in power and you are not doing anything about the issue you will naturally boost far right because people hope far right will actually do something. hhhhhhhhh
