Canadians aren’t going to vote for the reduced wages and worse conditions which several million EU workers will come with. This whole rhetoric is treating Canadians as if they’re metropolitan and worldly when for the most part a good 50% of them are like Americans but even more protectionist and insular, IMO.

Whether are in favour of or against taking in asylum seekers, sharing that burden/responsibiltiy between partners would definitely be what people want
