It's been awhile since I've been in the space, but Voyage was never a serious contender outside of super-niche business domains. I suspect that this compares favorably in 9X% of use cases
They were leading the huggingface leaderboard in terms of open weight embeddings models at least when they released at start of the year so I'm not quite sure where you're coming from on this
