And you have to coordinate to make any changes. Do you want to make a garden? Take down a tree? Add a bench? There's a whole other level of bureaucracy involved.

I live like this, it works great.

Some of us that live in more like townhouses have our own gardens/yards as well.

What's the biggest disagreement you've had with the other households who collectively own the complex you live in? And what did you personally have to do in order to create the complex or be allowed to buy into an existing one?

I can't remember a big disagreement. Me and my wife had to put up money to buy into an existing complex (it is basically like a condo).
