We are actively watching SI diverge from strictly relying on human knowledge to now creating its own repository of knowledge (see current math research) while training on synthetic data using RLVR over human curated data and human supervision. I don't think you realise that this trend is only going to continue to the point human language is going to stop being a crutch it relies on, in fact Astra can reason without CoT now.

No we aren't. These are stateless functions that have a function signature with some cfg params and ~500k words, and it then output words. Then we loop that ouput and wire them up to computers. There is no agency involved here. Its just a kind of recursive behavior being dressed up as intentionality.

Calling these things agents or entities of any kind when they are in fact just statistical models we wire into back into themselves and into deterministic systems, only serves to sell them as a accountability laundering machines they're going to be sold as.

It has already discovered knowledge that you very likely can't comprehend and it will keep expanding its corpus of knowledge in the same way human civilisation has. In the near term future it won't need you at all. Agency is nothing but goal setting, which is easy to achieve.

Not at all. Trump ordered everyone , during his speech at the United Nations , to use "SI" from now on, instead of "AI". That was one of his important priorities.

If you see someone use "SI" they are sending you a signal. Just politely correct their mistake.

The concept of virtue signaling should probably be renamed to "in-group signaling". The idea is that this person is signaling they support Trump. So, I guess, maybe loyalty is the virtue they are signaling.
