those orgs don't have infinite resources. I think you are suggesting there's something nefarious about this.

The EFF and FSF don’t throw money at hopeless causes. No matter how much uninformed armchair lawyering there is on this thread, Nitter simply has absolutely no case and they’re going to lose. It would be a complete waste of limited resources to defend them.
