If you are a single issue voter on IP, the democrats are your best option.
Also if you are a single issue voter for any foreign country over the issues killing people at home, you’re a traitor.
Miss me with the “supporting genocide” shit. This isn’t even the worst killing of a single people in the past decade. I don’t know why people are so brain broken that Palestine is the only thing that matters to them because they think it’s a genocide when half of them don’t even know about the Tigray war or think that what’s happening in Palestine is a genocide but what Russia is doing to Ukrainians isn’t.
>Also if you are a single issue voter for any foreign country over the issues killing people at home, you’re a traitor.
This is a silly argument, because the main difference between my Zionist representative (he is an actual Zionist who sends his kid to Israel every summer, takes AIPAC money as his biggest single source of campaign funds, and sanctions the ICC) and the Libertarian candidate on the issues you cite is Israel.
>Miss me with the “supporting genocide” shit. This isn’t even the worst killing of a single people in the past decade. I don’t know why people are so brain broken that Palestine is the only thing that matters to them...blahblahblah
People are so "brain broken" because this has been going on under our noses for decades, and you have an environment where a psychotic leader is hitting the gas on the extermination of people while finally social media has caught up to the horrors, and we want it stopped. Furthermore, you know nothing of my stances on the other issues you cited (which are not relevant to this discussion anyway, because it is about my rep's stance on Israel).
Lastly, what school of logic exists in which "because there are other mass killings, this isn't a genocide" is a valid proposition? Oh yeah, it's called WHATABOUTISM.
> I don't give a flying fart if that means Republican control of the house
You cant vote with that expectation in mind and pretend your hands are clean.
> ...social media has caught up to the horrors...
Oh damn, social media caught up and now people are keen on this? That's definitely not propaganda happening.
> which are not relevant to this discussion anyway, because it is about my rep's stance on Israel
Yea, if it wasnt obvious, I was calling you a single issue voter in my previous comments, with your single issue being on IP.
> Lastly, what school of logic exists in which "because there are other mass killings, this isn't a genocide" is a valid proposition? Oh yeah, it's called WHATABOUTISM.
The school of logic where you are willing to throw your vote away, allow MAGA to still be in charge of the government, accept the consequences of that, and proclaim that you are doing it for a single region and not caring about any of the others.
You dont have a "dont support any genocide" position, you have a "Dont support genocide against the Palestinians from Israeli in particular" position. I dont find that to be a principled position, with the exception of if you are from or have family in the region in which case I can understand it.
I don't control what happens in any race for the House. My vote is a tiny fraction. If the Democrats can't put together a strong enough platform to earn votes, that is on them, not on the voters who choose not to vote for them. I find the attempts to blackmail voters by claiming they are responsible for the failure of a party pathetic, and also ignorant.
The fact that algorithms may be pushing the issue of Gazan deaths to the forefront may indeed be propaganda to make it an issue. But these are not deepfakes; they aren't false. There IS a genocide in Gaza. The deaths have been reported by reliable sources. Perhaps you have heard of the recent documentary NAZA, in which IDF members readily talk about the willingness of Israel to ignore the deaths of family members if it meant they could take out a member of Hamas. There is also credible evidence that Netanyahu had credible intel about the 10/7 attacks beforehand. This wouldn't surprise me, because it is also a matter of record that Netanyahu funded Hamas in order to further his own political goals. Then there are his coalition members who are rabid psychopaths. They all should be on trial for war crimes. Let justice prevail; if they are innocent, they should have nothing to fear. My rep has voted (against his party) to financially sanction the court who would do this.
In your logic, my rep can literally vote against his party, and if I choose to vote for someone other than him (a 3rd party, at that), it is I who am aiding and abetting Republicans? Tell me, propagandist, what is life like with a worldview built from a house of cards?
I am not throwing my vote away. I am using it. It is, frankly, disgusting for you to tell me that if I don't vote the way you say I should, I am "throwing my vote away." In fact, by voting against a candidate whose views repulse me, I am doing exactly what a vote is for.
Yours truly,
A concerned voter
Then you should probably not vote
> Dear Propagandist,
Fuck you too buddy
>Then you should probably not vote
You appear to not understand how voting works. No single individual controls the outcome of any vote, much less the makeup of the entire (in this case) House of Representatives. Some might even argue that is the whole point of democracy.
Also, you were just chiding me for "wasting my vote" several comments back, and now you urge me not to vote. Are you OK? Your behavior is despicable.
>> Dear Propagandist,
> Fuck you too buddy
Hit a bit too close to home, eh?
The snowflake doesn’t feel responsible for the avalanche
>>> Dear Propagandist,
>> Fuck you too buddy
>Hit a bit too close to home, eh?
No? You insulted me so I insulted you back. Do you think someone might not take umbrage at being called “Propagandist” as a name and/or title?
No snowflake has free will; every voter does. If you really think your cute koan is actually a good analogy here, you should get out of your own head and consider the external world more.
>Do you think someone might not take umbrage at being called “Propagandist” as a name and/or title?
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
Why are you arguing against yourself? You said your vote doesn’t control the outcome. That viewpoint is what the saying is about.
> The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
He/him, don’t misgender. Are you fine with being insulted by being called a Propagandist?
> Also if you are a single issue voter for any foreign country over the issues killing people at home, you’re a traitor.
There are plenty of domestic issues tied to being anti-Israel. It's the Zionists who are traitors. I don't need anti-BDS laws, my tax dollars going to Israel, Zionist consolidation of media... these are issues for Americans to deal with. I agree with the parent post. I'm not voting for Democrats until they lay out a crystal clear plan on how they're going to de-Zionize our country.
The war started during his tenure with no input on either side from Biden, no shit casualties were higher at the beginning before either side established dominancy
> They're both equally bad on Israel.
lol, lmao. You think the guy who entered into the Iran war and is telling Israel to do whatever they want, and how they are going to take over Gaza is as equally bad?[1]
> I'm not voting for Democrats until they lay out a crystal clear plan on how they're going to de-Zionize our country.
Then you care more about other countries than our own domestic issues if you are willing to let MAGA stay in power over this [1]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_Donald_Trump_Gaza_Strip_t...
In addition to the many domestic issues I listed, not having our country controlled by a terrorist, baby killing, genocide state is priority #1. Again, it’s the easiest thing in the world to oppose Israel if you’re not bribed/blackmailed by them. They’re hated by the majority of voters. My vote is here for the taking, just don’t be an Israeli spy.
Already lying. Show me the receipts proving that.
> His admin is 100% complicit with genocide.
Show the receipts again
> Again, it’s the easiest thing in the world to oppose Israel if you’re not bribed/blackmailed by them.
I am 55/45 on supporting Israel’s response to 10/7 because that was reprehensible but generally oppose supporting them because they’ve been a pisspoor ally in terms of how they’ve treated us, especially when Likud is in charge in Israel while Dems are in charge in the US.
I also am generally opposed to the price taggers, the settlers in the West Bank, and the Israeli military’s tacit support of said settlers.
Despite all that, if you are ok with MAGA keeping power so you don’t support people like Biden or Kamala, I think you have been subjected to propaganda or are mentally regarded because the MAGAs are worse for the Palestinians.
There is no world where the Democrats aren’t the perfect answer, while the MAGAs are significantly worse for your goals, that you are making sound decisions if you are fine with MAGA leadership over Democrats leadership.
and you're claiming to be the enlightened one? hah.
>There is no world where the Democrats aren’t the perfect answer
Reflexive absolutism is bad, sorry.
