It's really helpful to read this thread. There's a limit to how much I'll share but one thing that might ring true for others is how sort of crazy I feel because the forces people on this forum are talking about are hitting the world very unevenly.

I like my therapist quite a bit but respectfully he has no concept of how AI is impacting huge swaths of white collar work. To people who haven't experienced the 2 year delta in what a coding job looks like, you can sort of sound like a nut. Or they won't appreciate the magnitude of it. Especially if they're not plugged into the news.

I frequently look around and ask "is this really happening?" - I think it is happening, as convenient as it might be if it weren't.
