Worthy of note for any readers new to this, electricity generation alone (which this figure is) is but a subset of energy consumption (fuel for transport, energy usage in industry) overall. Further not all human origin greenhouse gases come from energy consumption - coal and other fossil carbon sources are used as raw materials in industry (steel, fertiliser, etc) via processes that bind some of that fossil carbon away from the atmosphere and release a portion to the atmosphere as by product.
There's still work to be done on reduction of fossil carbon source extraction, CO2 capture from industrial processes, and direct CO2 capture from free atmosphere to mitigate the risks of over insulation for future generations.
