I think social skills are much more important today because one person can do so much more but this person needs to talk to many others to know what to build.

I will miss coding, but I had a good run. Time to learn a trade. I don't begrudge this fate.
If AI solves all coding and software then we are not going to sit around talking, it will be the time to sit down and do some very complex deep work that needs silence, concentration and understanding.
For you it will be paradise, you can also just point all the people to talk with your agent instead of you.
I liked the coding part.

Have you worked at a big tech company?
Yes I worked, almost for a decade. I know everybody loves talking there, but that was true before AI as well. Good thing is that with AI, big tech is going away. Who needs 5 layers of management when 5 guys can replicate their product.
But if, somehow, you can find the right thing to build without talking to people, there is still a lot of building to do.
Good luck, I think we are all going to need it.
And a lot of that building is of tangible things in the physical world, that I can literally feel the good of.
When everything you ask for is instant and valueless, even asking becomes meaningless, and everyone is waiting to see something they'd not thought of.
Then, a thousand thousand copies, immediately… but also, watching that person like a hawk to see if they can do it again. That's the future. A lot of people will just plain become unable to think or intend anything on their own, or even want anything.
Somebody still needs to determine what the company system actually look like, that someone is still probably a programmer, it doesn't matter anymore if that programmer is also a good coder.
