It is make like better. You're just invested in ripping out others' tools for your own satisfaction.

The difference between this & the backdrop of Dune is near 0, with its issues clearly outlined in the book: You want the system that existed in the 2010s to remain as-is & ossified for your personal enjoyment.

If it’s a question of whose enjoyment matters more yours or mines, let’s put it to a democratic vote? Let the public decide whether we should ban AI or not. If it turns out that America votes to allow Gen AI full swing then I’ll leave it be, somehow I strongly suspect they’ll do the exact opposite. At which point, you should adapt to what the public wants.
