This is mixing up consistency with impartiality. Imagine judging every athlete by making them run the same marathon. Everyone faces identical conditions but you just rigged the competition to favor one type of athleticism over another.

An interview format is no different. It rewards certain personalities, temperaments, and ways of communicating at the expense of others. Applying the same bias consistently doesn't magically make it objective, it just makes the bias systematic and less obvious.
