Lots of things can happen. Usually people can adapt. But some things that happen are disastrous. A natural disaster is one of those things. So is AI. If you were doing research in the 70s, things changed and were exciting. Now things are changing and they're depressing.
I disagree. Especially for programmers that made more money than the vast majority of people. AI came and I'm switching to nursing. Writing code is not part of being a human. I'm glad AI will replace or greater reduce technical jobs and encourage more humanity focused jobs. Not to mention AI makes learning so much easier.
