A quick way to "remove" ads from podcasts is to auto play from a specific time. Lots of podcasts do all their ads in 15, 30, and 60 second chunks. So simply setting your podcast app to skip forward at those intervals can cut most ads.

So my app auto plays most podcasts at 60 seconds. Then whenever an ad starts I just hit forward X times until they're done.

It isnt automated but it gets rid if most ads.
