I didn't mean nginx didn't have these. They are just not in core and require me to jump through hoops to get them.

Modern proxies have these features built in and don't need plugins or sidecar containers.

ACME is in the core.

And modern features means long term rot if not modularised.

More often than not the extra goodies are specified as part of a Helm chart. Usually Helm charts have a bundle of nice things rather than just a particular thing.

When you're in company that has a culture of sharing dank Helm charts you know you're in the right place.
