I’m French and left wing. I utterly hate these clowns. Well-meaning people with good intentions and zero subject matter expertise. This is going to achieve either misery, or nothing.

What is not left into having most of the population receiving freebies without any contribution to society? Obviously the goal by doing this is that you can pretty much get the same political ideas elected forever. Just like communists did but france was good enough not to required physical violence to achieve this. Minor a few exceptions like yellow vest protests. However its a legal hell where you can be jailed for an idea that the left doesnt like. Like for instance why isnt there a single left person that criticizes mass immigration of low level labor into a country that has 25% youth unemployement? Because it doesnt serve the system to say that.
The socialist party hasn't been well-meaning people for a while. I wouldn't even consider them left. Otherwise agree.
