We do still have a real obesity problem in the USA and it affects the poorest in the country quite badly.

Being fat is actually a disease of the poor.

Yeah that point no longer really applies because bad food is cheap. And also fast, people that work a lot don't have the time to spend an hour cooking.

There's always exceptions to any rule.

Poor people eat more cheap carbs, hence fat. high fructose corn syrup and the way we make our bread also makes people fat
