What “benefits” exactly arise from prediction markets.

If a non-gambler has investments in gambling companies (say, VTI which contains multiple comparables to Polymarket/Kalshi), then they profit. I literally make money off those who cant help themselves, every day.

You have identified the societal problem.

Investments are are a form of gambling.

And that's where the similarities stop.
