I don't see money as convenient, honestly money adds a lot of complexity and inconvenience onto my life. What it adds in a good way, though, is power - power to trade hours of my time for stuff I want to buy or services I want to psy for.

the phrase is "the love of money is the root of all evil".

“The fact is that the greatest crimes are caused by excess and not by necessity. Men do not become tyrants in order that they may not suffer cold; and hence great is the honour bestowed, not on him who kills a thief, but on him who kills a tyrant.” - Aristotle

That omits the majority of the casual, daily acts of violence and greed, committed by people to secure their basic needs at the expense of their families and neighbors.

Those falls under non-great crimes, the implicit counterpart to the explicitly mentioned great crimes. It would follow that rectifying those those merely gets one petty honour, rather than great honour.
