I also just went long on figma yesterday and got a yearly subscription. If you iterate on designs a lot it's the best workflow imho. claude desktop + figma is dope.
Yeah. Where I work, we have our UI Controls in an asset library. Claude Design regularly makes crap designs. My current workflow is let the PM do a wireframe in Claude. Recreate it in Figma so it's actually implementable. Iterate on it, use Claude to help manage the workflow so it does the grunt work of "Take component X's attributes in Step 2 and copy them to all the copies of Component X in the page." Works very well and it preserves modes, etc. It also a good job of filling in mock data. We iterate in Figma until PM is happy with UX. I can then point Claude at the Figma and can get the UX about 95% correct the first time.
Any reason you let the PM do the wireframe? I also use claude for this? I really like the old school flow of user journeys -> wireframes -> designs/components. Going to become a moat to do proper handcraft if everybody just slops around
