that's 2.7M people willing to work for and assist an entity that openly tortures and murders without consequence, so yeah seems like they are on the same page to me.

Yes, the park rangers at Yellowstone and meteorologists at the National Weather Service were all consulted on those decisions and deserve equal blame as the people up top and the torturers themselves.

No matter if they were consulted, but they surely must know that their paymasters torture, if my boss had a torture chamber I wouldn't be showing up to work every day, but I suppose you might.

Do you know the entire corporate structure of the company you work for? How about the banks or VCs funding you?

If my company released a report stating that management tortured people but they weren't going to do anything about it then yeah I would quit, how is this controversial?

If people don't draw the line at torture and murder where else is it drawn, genocide?

So … take the people at the State Department who funded Tor to help dissidents. You've talked with them and confirmed that they're in lock-step agreement with a very different part of the government which they have no influence over, right?

I bet you give that very organization thousand of dollars a year.

Yeah, they would put me in prison otherwise right, so by threat of force I must materially support a group which kills and tortures, wonderful.
