3dd3ee··on LLMs are making formal software verification feasible at a much larger scale
Oh here come the anthropic bot army.

Haha, legit.

Personally I am someone with all the free time in the world guess what? I barely use LLMs! Im fortunate to have the ability to think critically for myself and ponder what exactly is the value-add of these tools. Look I have no doubt they provide solutions to problems at a tap of a button with some degree of variance w.r.t correctness and quality but people should take a step back and have a more nuanced thought process.

Its only the frontier labs that don't want you to do that and want to focus on 'go go go'. I'm seeing way too much frantic behaviour and people getting all caught up in it. What's panicking gonna do? Just relax and observe cautiously.

"humanity invents general purpose intelligence that's near-free to do anything on demand"

Delusional.

You sound like you have AI psychosis.

Correct.... very suspect.

Swear you can't trust many posts anymore. Should we all start congregating in person online to debate lol? I'm very serious.

Wow this is awful, what kind of user experience is this?

This reminds me of command line interface. Yuck.

Lol please stop with this 'moats' discussion.

Moats become known ex-post not ex-ante. shake my head its getting boring! Every other post seems to be a moats and most of you haven't got a faintest clue of what a durable competitive advantage is and how it actually gets created.

Theres plenty of people in construction who literally get paid to stand and watch. And theyre very well paid.

The same will happen to software - it'll get boring but you'll be paid to do.. not all that much.

Yeah for many that 'problem solving' thing w.r.t code will go. But there's other things they'll spend their time thinking about.

Also these personal assistants will crash and burn. Something else will come in the future. These chat bots are not it. Technology keeps evolving - if you get stuck on the chat paradigm... its over for you.

The biggest issue is concentration risk.

Im sure there was a time nobody thought Apple would design their own CPU's.

Foolish poster.

yes it affects book equity

What we need to see is the statement of cash flows.

Whats happening to that cash balance?

People are missing the point IMO - the reinvestment needs is what matters. A) how large are they? B) How will they change over-time? C) How does a slow down in capabilities and closing of the gap by China + price-competition affect their cash flows from operations net of the reinvestment (e.g. will it draw down their cash balance).

You can only hold the perception of increasing capabilities for so long - humans are very adaptive as we are seeing and scare-tactics do not work forever.

Correct nominal GDP will barely move.

Could real GDP. Maybe...? I mean people need to dive into the details. How many products/services can be sold...? its not infinite dont be stupid.

Its easy talking about this stuff at a high-level, when you start going into the details you begin to get very uncomfortable. The math right now, simply does not math!

Firms will not wait forever to see what the value of frontier AI is - these scare tactics are wearing off.
