This is cool. Its part of an ideal version of my home setup. But god the marketing feels so off, its like its made by people who have never used a monitor or done work on a computer. The marketing makes it out to be a phone screen for your face which is such a sad vision for genuinely cool technology. Also horrible demonstration of AI do these people even use AI?
The part where he asked AI to organise his windows was almost as painful as the part where he was in a generic chase sequence of a Ubisoft slop game and asked whats the best way to catch the assassin.
Of course Delaware ruled that. The same applies to all corporations. No corporation _has_ to maximize shareholder value. That Doug v ford case is not gospel.
Im on the progressive left just not the ML communist left. I dont only engage with the wikipedia page or I wouldnt have noticed the clearly marxist framing on some sections.
A public benefit corp is a 'greenwashing' term based on the meme that people think a corporation 'must maximize shareholder profits' from the Dodge v. Ford case. But its not true a corportation doesnt have to maximize shareholder profits and a PBC does have to provide any public benefit at all. There is no tangible difference between the two other than the public perception that these are different.
Sorry, I should have included this in my comment. I'm referring to pages on communism or communism adjacent topics, socialism and the middle eastern conflicts involving Isreal. I find a lot of the communist pages use sources that have 'a marxist perspective of history' which is ahistorical. The middle east articles involving Isreal use a lot of sources known to be unreliable like middleeasteye and Al-jazeera. They also receive a a ton of traffic from both sides as they're using wikipedia to fight over history.

Any arguments that you would make about incentives to focus on short term profits would apply to any other system. Do you have an example of one of these unique motivations?
What evidence could you possibly have for that? Plenty of capitalist businesses have been around a long time and engage in long term planning and investment.
You can do a hobby for any reason. It doesnt have to be for yourself. He could enjoy programming but also enjoy contributing to the wider open source community. So it makes sense to feel bad when he sees another project popup and invalidate his work. If it was another person who'd worked hard and thought about the project he could at least take solace in chatting about their solutions but with AI its nothing. It just solves the problem and there is little to be gained from it.
It doesnt require sophistication. Just implement MV3 and then when the conversation about adblockers comes up make a note that its probably not wise to cut it as extensions have switched to MV3 and its a controversial topic. Its easy to see how different teams would come to this without collaborating, its the MV3 team doing what they do and the ad block team reading the room.
Google doesnt turn on MV3 and have it break ads day one that would highlight a negative change for users. Google wants people to move to MV3 and notice no difference and then they can start chipping away later.
My big fear is that the politicans continue making effective good policy and fail to effectively celebrate the wins because the media is just making up lies and downplaying everything in the most cynical way possible. Thats why I also think there is a need for average people to also actively boost the politicians.
As an individual we need to make the case for liberal democracy. Its under heavy attack by two very authoritarian ideologies either side. Liberal Democracy needs to convince people its the right framework going forward once Liberals are back in power they need to demonstrate that they can actually solve the challenges people are facing. And it cant all be left up to politicians voters need to activate to provide energy.
It might seem this way because he is showing off his wins on different channels. In terms of passing policy its not different than other mayors. Maybe you think the policy is good and the other mayors policy was bad and thats the gap.
Thats if you're sensitive to being flamed. I jumped in after playing against bots for 30s no previous TA experience and I was a complete terrorist for 5-10 games. Then I started just being a "bad" player and going unnoticed.
>generally don't want to say that because it contradicts their ideology or it just plain looks bad, so they resort to an alternative argument: "stupid people should be allowed to vote but the information that they have access to should be controlled by us instead of by the Bad People"
Its objectively true that people are voting based off false information. It makes sense that people would want that to stop.
