BoldBoldness··on Identifying Gender by Handwriting: You’re Probably Not as Good as You Think
If the test was given as a list, then I suspect a large number of the results are skewed just by the nature of people's desire to think in terms of pattern-breaking (e.g. Would the results be the same if it was the five male samples followed by the five female samples, or if only one sample was provided per person). Of course, talking about people's "nature" is itself conjecture and probably warrants it's own study.
BoldBoldness··on The growing irrelevance of Google Search
I find myself using reddit more for its search function rather than for general browsing. If I have a certain question I need answered or need advice about really anything, it's very likely that 5 other people already asked the same question before. Plus, it appears to be a much more effective way to cut out the junk results from Google and give more honest and straightforward answers.
BoldBoldness··on Why the Tech Industry Needs to Deal With Its Ageism Problem
As someone from a liberal arts background who is taking steps to change careers, it's comments like this that are making me want to go into computer engineering rather than computer science. It'll be harder, but as someone whose career suffered from the last recession I've become a bit more sensitive to bubbles and the growing size of the labor pool in CS. I fear that in the next decade being a programmer could become more akin to being a lawyer today.

I'm not trying to make an argument about whether what I say is true. I'm just expressing a few musings.
