Devil's advocate: They'll also "survive" being "misgendered." Maybe embarrassing/rude event, to be avoided if possible, but not everything has to be "systemic -ism."

Good to see that great game here, and be reminded of its great sister game https://sunlesssea.fandom.com/

CrazyPyroLinux··on The Dymaxion Bathroom
Personally I like to take long hot showers to relax and think. (See recent related https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34289138 )

This would otherwise be expensive and wasteful of water and energy, but it doesn't take much of either to keep the shower flooded with steam. Plus I'm not drying out my skin while trying to stay warm with too-hot water; cool water in the hot environment feels great for wash 'n rinse. It also feels good to breathe the steam.

I can't say enough good things about a steam shower
CrazyPyroLinux··on JFK Assassination Records – 2022 Additional Documents Release
I provided it: "plausible-but-unproven accusation"

You had said "this is itself a conspiracy theory" and then provided evidence that it was false. Therefore it is simply false. But the implication seemed to be that "conspiracy theory" = "something that is false but people still believe"

My point was that, similar to many of the other "-ist"s, a term can have a technically valid meaning yet still be misused in bad faith to shut down debate. (Not at all saying that's what you were doing - just seemed like a relevant place to make the point.)

CrazyPyroLinux··on JFK Assassination Records – 2022 Additional Documents Release
So...still intentionally used to discredit a plausible-but-unproven accusation?
CrazyPyroLinux··on JFK Assassination Records – 2022 Additional Documents Release
You seem to really have it out for "conspiracy theorists" as a whole lumped group. Seems like you are the one allowing "emotions to overwhelm their rationality." Especially in the context of JFK assasination, which is like the most mainstream of anything that could be called a conspiracy theory.

I do - .NET (since 5) has been great. And you've got stuff like Blazor for the frontend if you want to avoid JS entirely.

I'm pretty sure that song is a blatant ripoff of "Regular Everyday Normal Guy" which predates it by about a decade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PsnxDQvQpw

"pepper in?" "PEPPER!?" Why not salt? Is it because pepper is traditionally black!? You racist! :)

I'm not disagreeing that there's some potential hypocrisy or irony here - I just don't see any relation between the things in your list.

Trite? You're the one who brought up BlueAnon. (And if you're going to virtue-signal "HN is above that kind of thing," I'll remind you that whining about downvotes is against the guidelines)

There seems to me to be plenty of room for interpretation (and potential for foul play) in the TOS. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but to call it a "fake news clickbait" is disingenuous.

> I’ll choose not to [...] dialogue > just strengthens the divide

Non sequitur, but ok. There seems to me to be plenty of room for interpretation (and potential for foul play) in the TOS. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but to call it a "complete lie" is itself to misrepresent facts.

False dichotomy; pardon them both, plus Snowden.

But if what you're fishing for is that Assange did more for the world, was more dis-proportionally persecuted with less legal justification, then yes.

CrazyPyroLinux··on SimulaVR Has Been Subpoenaed by Meta Platforms, Inc
Honest question: Why not do what most of the ass-clowns do when they get in front of congress - "I don't know, Senator. I have no recollection, Congresswoman. I plead the 5th, You Honor. No, we don't spy on Americans." etc.? Seems like no one ever actually faces any penalties for this.

Yeah that opioid epidemic was some "really awesome shit." What would we ever do without the FDA and their regulatory capture in the pharma-industrial complex?
