Granted, the tool I used is opinionated and not all those items are red flags, but the sheer number of issues is impressive.
In fact, Magento issued two notification messages, on Friday and on Monday, so even if you applied the patch after seeing the first message, you still saw the second message and experienced that brief moment of panic.
Trivia fact time: Westwood Studios wrote their own vector implementation for the original Command&Conquer, and reused it for later games in the same series, until Renegade/Generals. That implementation uses linear growth, capacity grows by 10 elements each time.
Can you provide some examples? I'd love to see some debugging war stories.
When you're testing your answers, add explicit start/end anchors and implicit grouping to get better results:
var r = /^(?:HE|LL|O+)$/;
console.log("OE".match(r));
console.log("OO".match(r));And a pull request fixing it was submitted back in August: https://github.com/jhusain/learnrx/pull/27
I spent several years disassembling a game (C&C Red Alert 2), understanding the code, fixing the shitty parts and glitches left in it, and extending it. It was fascinating.
¹These examples are certainly far from trivial, I know, but that is half the fun.

// function signature
getNumber(context: any, callback: (result: Number) => void);
// calling that function
// unfortunately, here the type of num is any
// unless I specify it manually
getNumber(..., (num) => { ... });
Visual Studio figured out the type on its own.
