There's really so much physicality to interacting with objects that we've lost as we switch to more and more touch screens and capacitive buttons. Also the reassuring "thunk" of a nice chunky button to confirm you've pressed it is just so important to user confidence

I have a pixel 6 pro, works great Never had problems with the microphones, and calls are extra clear because they do some ai nonsense to upscale the audio coming into the phone My 2 main gripes are: The modem, I have issues with reception in the strangest locations, I can have direct line of sight to 3 different cell towers and still get stuck on edge till I hit the "Fix connectivity" button in settings, but when it is working (which it does 95% of the time), works great The camera, amazing photo quality, videos look great, I have nothing against image quality. But the videos this thing takes are MASSIVE, even with HVEC on, a 50 second video can weigh over 300mb. Not sure what's up with that. Oh also the main shooter camera is mechanically separated from the rest of the phone, so if you shake the phone or whip pan it too hard, you can hear it rattle.

Overall 9/10 though! I hear the pixel 7 has a better modem

This makes sense for the small stop and go trucks for around town, but I'm not sure if it's that great of an idea for longer haul trips between distribution centers

I want to finally start learning object oriented programming.

I've written a lot of stuff for automating tasks at work (Windows PowerShell) and tinkered with hobby projects (rust, python) in my free time, but I've never been able to wrap my head around why someone wouldn't want to do everything functionally until quite recently.

I taught myself to program so I didn't even know about the term "functional programming" until quite recently :P

I forgot about Parler's existence, it was super hyped up for about a month, then it fell off the face of the earth and I never heard anything about it again.

I hope someone designs a vertical version too

ShareX is a great alternative for the built in screenshot tools, it’ll even take gif screenshots :) I think it also has screen recording, but I’ve never used that

I genuinely enjoy the convenience of self checkout, if you know how to use one, they seem to be faster

Especially after going to the same store a couple times, you eventually memorize where the buttons are and the quirks of the system

But yeah I fall into the “less items” category most of the time, but even for larger loads I prefer self checkout

Maybe it’s just because it’s interactive, or maybe it’s because I don’t want to talk to a depressed cashier
