I don't think I could study something difficult with Audio Books or any noise, but for example, tinkering or life's chores like washing clothes, emptying dishwashers, hoovering, showering.... These tasks which must be done anyway can become secondary to an audio book which takes the prime brain space to the point that those tasks become "enjoyable". Especially if you find a good book!
One of the weird things tho, is that I didn't see Ads with Ad Blocker. Is there some regional thing that ad blocker doesn't work in the USA but it works elsewhere?
I have been running 5-7km twice per week since May and I loved how it made me feel, but then comes the pain... lower back... hip flexors... hamstring tightness... Not from my runs but from my job.
This just really drags me down. I have been off the runs for 2 weeks as my hip hurts mid way through my run and this leads to breaking my new found enjoyment and after a few weeks, I will be lazy as I break my routine.
The only thing that would help would be a seat that is like sitting inside a cylinder that rotates from 0-45 degrees on a second by second basis throughout the working day so that no part of the body is strained.
Desks and computers don't work for me and I really worry about a day where I cannot stand due to pain or sit due to pain which naturally effects my output.
I am 38 and feel like no one else is suffering these problems.
I used to have a great friendship with people in "Hackers Lounge: 1" and everyone used to be 1337 for cracking original names like you said.
I got my first name, and a few friends and I had illegals like \\//\\//estside and H a C K e R and .oO(d00t) which weren't compatible with the email service.
It's a pity that a generation later, the internet meant facebook and not the kind of inquisitive fun I experienced! (maybe I should have played more sport lol).
Something similar (as far as turned based game) which I enjoyed was Silent Storm. It didn't have the base building side but it had physics.

But my problem is that, surely Windows itself has this service providing "somehow" that I can know where in the world the computer is, and from there, make it some kind of network drive?
Like what I do between the kitchen and the bedroom only, 30 miles away. As the user, I see `C:/` `D:/` `fifer82:/`. Unless it is literally that easy, it won't happen.
On the BBC yesterday they had a virologist who said the envelope would be destroyed by soap, sanitiser, alcohol and bleach.
Later there was a different expert, and she said that it would have to be anti viral specifically, anything with 60%+ alcohol.
I know this is getting into the details a little but I wondered about this discrepancy.
I used to be a game developer from an OOP background. I find this really hard to read.

Would anyone be able to give 2 cents about where the industry is headed in this regard? Will I be looked down on that my codebase is OOP in the future? Also for those who were cut from my cloth, did you find the transition difficult?
Also could I go to a developing country, get a licence there, then it is valid in the UK and America?
These questions came to mind when I read your comment.
I find it so old fashioned how by default, they expect me to stand in the rain for 2 hours a day to travel to the centre of a city to sit at a desk and log into the internet for 38 out of 40 hours a week.
That is a real life equivalent of a code smell.
I don't get a lot out of the art side, but I have always been fascinated by this particular topic. Where little pieces of code, depending on some inputs, can generate some really fun output.
Getting the App costs you a 33% tax over not having the app in this circumstance.
£15.99 per month. I could have sworn it was £11.99.....
I deleted my YouTube app, and signed up for £11.99. Reinstalled my YouTube app and it was Premium.
I am being told to "get the app as it is better" and yet evidence suggests that having the app cost me £48 a year in this situation.
That is ridiculous surely?
Can I recommend you try an audio book? I have found that most of the time I do chores, like dishes, fixing stuff around the place, the treadmill or even the shower can be quite enjoyable when listening to an audio book.
Any automatic mundane task which you are already expending time on can easily be overlaid with audio.
A fun example is that I am listening to "Countdown to Day Zero: Stuxnet" which was recommended here! I ended up enjoying the book for an hour, and at the end of it, the kitchen was spotless.
I didn't want to use P5 though. Not sure why, I wasn't a big fan of Processing for some lost reason. Also I didn't really need a big canvas library such as Pixi.
When I took a look at this project, half the methods were familiar to me as I have searched for these and cobbled together some lame collection of random functions into a weak "library". In a few weeks, when I am finished and need to review all this, I will definitely be trying to integrate this.
