If you want to get into the shortcomings of Figma when it comes to hand off, I'm more than happy to have that conversation. Units that aren't valid in the CSS spec? Sure. Vector tools leading to things that are only achievable through clip path and masking? You bet. But claiming that designers and developers should have the same job when they're completely different skill sets and claiming that both roles are using the wrong tools to get the job done is no way to sell your product.
I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment of the article, but cookie clicker IS a game worth its salt. Input mechanic difficulty is not the sole factor to consider when determining the quality of a game loop.
May get into a different kind of programming, web dev just feels uninspired to me right now. Note: this is my world on the web right now, I’m sure others disagree and have another opinion. Loving something is subjective.
Reflect my guy.
I don’t really see a case that it would be good for them to mass distribute videos of their formative years, even if it isn’t directly harmful.
I don’t care if the next one would have gotten 10 million views. I deleted that video and immediately made a follow up explaining the situation to the thousands of people that had followed me from that one video. Your child’s safety and right to future privacy should always be the forefront, and I’m ashamed to say I even slipped up one time. Don’t post that stuff. Send it to your family and move on.
Enter Godot. I have LOVED it. It has absolutely changed the way I think about game dev, and the journey with it so far has been refreshing. It feels natural to code in, things are organized in a way that I don't need a degree in the engine to understand, and the UI is simple and clean. This post inspired me even more to keep going full bore with Godot. Thanks man.
No, that’s not a good sign for a framework. If you need an enormous ecosystem of helpers to get anything done, that’s a detriment. Svelte doesn’t have libraries because it doesn’t need them. Kit comes with tons of out of the box features, and there’s nothing I can’t achieve with either:
1. My own JavaScript code. 2. An NPM package IF need be.
Seriously. Svelte has everything react has, with a much better developer experience. It’s the evolution of vanilla web, and even if I got canned tomorrow, I would search until I found another job with either stack freedom or svelte as it’s framework.
