Igor_Wiwi··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (August 2026)
Adding Java class inline editing without decompilation feature to https://jar.tools/class-decompiler - so you can update some class values (number or strings, or event access modifiers) without needing to recompile the .class file. I called it Tweaks
Igor_Wiwi··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (July 2026)
Adding more and more features to https://mdview.io (the best way to read technical docs). Now I am adding CLI support for the features like publishing, custom slug creation, pdf rendering and more
Igor_Wiwi··on Satteri: A Markdown pipeline forged in Rust for the JavaScript world
what is the use case of this application? Who may need it?
Igor_Wiwi··on Markdy: Like Mermaid Diagrams, but for Motion
My goal is to build the only app you need for reading technical documentation. I am working on it daily for the past 5 months, and almost every day I have a new feature which I want to share with HN people and try it out
Igor_Wiwi··on Markdy: Like Mermaid Diagrams, but for Motion
Mermaid diagrams are awesome, the usual pain points which I am trying to solve in https://mdview.io is to allow to fix broken diagrams visually: you hit Quick Fix and then given 3 fix propositions to choose from. Sounds complicated but it works in 80% of times
Igor_Wiwi··on A website that lists websites to submit your website to
boosting DR rating is the biggest psyop of indie hackers: it's temporal and has zero effect on anything. All my websites are 3 to 6 DR points. https://mdview.io has 5 DR and brings in 500 uniq users per day organically
Igor_Wiwi··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (June 2026)
I like it!
Igor_Wiwi··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (June 2026)
https://mdview.io - the best way to read big technical documentations. Right now I am working on Grill Me feature for rigorously questioning and stress-testing plans or designs without leaving the app ui
Igor_Wiwi··on Show HN: Kage – Shadow any website to a single binary for offline viewing
This is quite useful tool, especially for the cases where internet access is limited (the flights for example). I implemented it as a separate feature in mdview.io: for example you can export a document as a html file for offline usage, with all the presentation features like reach tables, mermaid and etc built in. Example https://mdview.io/s/why-markdown-became-default-format-for-a... then try to Export - Export HTML
Igor_Wiwi··on Free SQL→ER diagram tool, runs in the browser, nothing uploaded
btw did you know that ER diagrams are supported by Mermaid diagrams: https://mdview.io/mermaid?example=working-er It's not that pretty as in your app, but it does the work
Igor_Wiwi··on Tectonic: A modernized, complete, self-contained TeX/LaTeX engine
In my project https://mdview.io I support Latex, but sometimes people share some weird types of syntax which looks like Latex but not rendered correctly. Haven't' found a good way to fix it, probably I will use some hybrid approach which I adopted for broken Mermaid diagrams (LLM + heuristics)
Igor_Wiwi··on macOS Container Machines
Interesting from a Docker perspective, but I’m more interested in it as a sandbox for AI agents and untrusted code execution.

I wrote about that angle here: https://igorstechnoclub.com/sandbox-exec/

Feels like the spiritual successor to sandbox-exec, but with VM-level isolation.

Igor_Wiwi··on Ask HN: What are tools you have made for yourself since the advent of AI?
Year ago I made for myself a simple jar editor https://jar.tools, now it has 8000 user’s monthly
Igor_Wiwi··on Show HN: Mermaid Studio – preview and fix broken mermaid diagrams
the idea is that Quick fix may generate > 1 candidates to choose from, this is why Apply exists. But comment is still valid, I need to improve the UX. Diff it is possible to show but I doubt it's has any interest for the user, because in the end we care how it's rendered
Igor_Wiwi··on On Rendering Diffs
this approach is quite similar to what I use for rendering huge markdown files in https://mdview.io : 10MB files renders correctly and even Table of Content works. 15MB renders but scrolling is not as smooth as I wanted, will work on that. The approach described here https://igorstechnoclub.com/how-i-render-10mb-markdown-files...
Igor_Wiwi··on My two-part desk setup (2025)
To me this feels super artificial, like catalog of every FAANG eng wants to have items. Looks good but with an intention to be instagrammable
Igor_Wiwi··on Show HN: Files.md – Open-source alternative to Obsidian
One thing I still miss in most markdown tools is good rendering/sharing of large architecture docs and Mermaid diagrams. I ended up building my own markdown file reader - https://mdview.io which handles large diagrams/tables much better than typical note apps
Igor_Wiwi··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (May 2026)
Working on https://mdview.io - markdown reader for big documents, including navigatable mermaid diagrams, LaTeX, Fixing broken syntax and ton of other features. It's early stage but getting popular really fast( I guess it just does it's job right)
Igor_Wiwi··on Fixing Markdown Syntax Is a Nightmare
Fix MD is quite a handy feature, especially when you have raw Markdown generated who-knows-how. I’ve used it myself multiple times with Mermaid and weird LaTeX notations
Igor_Wiwi··on Show HN: Got tired of paying $100/mo for SEO tools, so I built an alternative
https://app.lowfruits.io/payments doing the same but cheaper (which I still consider pricey)
Igor_Wiwi··on Quarkdown – Markdown with Superpowers
For my app, I chose a slightly different approach, focusing on readability and easy handling of large Mermaid diagrams. For example, I recently added a full-screen mode with map-like navigation: https://mdview.io/s/97af684b
Igor_Wiwi··on Show HN: Tolaria – Open-source macOS app to manage Markdown knowledge bases
For pure viewing rather than another editor, I’ve made a https://mdview.io - useful for opening Markdown files with clean rendering, tables, and Mermaid support and then share it with your colleges or save for later
Igor_Wiwi··on nowhere: an entire website encoded in a URL
I am using similar method to share Markdown files as one big URL like this: https://mdview.io/#mdv=N4IgbiBcCMA0IBMCGAXJUTADrhzWOAtgnjgMQ...
Igor_Wiwi··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (April 2026)
I am adding another feature to https://jar.tools called Security Scan which scan a jar and finds out if a jar safe to run or not. Direct link to a tool https://jar.tools/jar-security-scanner
Igor_Wiwi··on Ask HN: Any interesting niche hobbies?
I make AI music https://suno.com/@igorstechoclub
Igor_Wiwi··on Google releases Gemma 4 open models
I created a blog post specifically about running these models locally on your machine (1 liner but getting gguf may take some time): https://igorstechnoclub.com/running-gemma-4-locally-in-almos...
Igor_Wiwi··on OkCupid gave 3M dating-app photos to facial recognition firm, FTC says
Reminds me of another story when 23andme sold dna data https://www.npr.org/2025/06/30/nx-s1-5451398/23andme-sale-ap...
Igor_Wiwi··on Show HN: Email.md – Markdown to responsive, email-safe HTML
I am working on smth similar markdown reader for humans, not agents - https://mdview.io
Igor_Wiwi··on Chrome DevTools MCP (2025)
I can't make it run under WSL with Claude Code, anyone succeeded in this?
Igor_Wiwi··on Flop Or Top – OSS model to predict movie IMDB ratings
