InGodsName··on Things I Don’t Know as of 2018
You want me to reveal names of the celebrity developers. Correct? Not that stupid!

What does my bitcoins have to do with anything? And no i am not going to tell wether i sold them or not because that's not good for my security.

Yes, people can't have girlfriend outside of marriage?

Wife or girlfriend is one and the same thing for me. English is not native language, i use those two words interchangeably.

And my girlfriend can't be nurse?

Check your logical reasoning first, each of the things you posted is possible.

What you post is downvoted more heavily than what i post. Hence my Karma per day is higher than yours. I am also surprized you've not been banned.

I've seen your contribution and i am done with you. Demonstrate your importance somewhere else.

I am not trolling anyone. Some people have more stories to tell because of their experience.

I've already made it clear, i don't just write code like other programmers. If you are envious of that it's fine, no need to take others down.

I feel sad that you don't have any such stories. If you make less assumptions about others, it will probably help your career.

Even your Karma is low for a user who has spent 6 months here. Probably that explains who got low content noise

Your history reveals what you post are mostly assumptions which are often false and are heavily downvoted.

I never found any programming language which i love.

I've settle for rust and go.

What i want is a language which is as simple as Go but we can mark off the portions of program and go one level down to optimize the hell out of it in rust style.

Go + ADTs + pattern matching is something i want.

Yes, this is hacker news. We've to find hacks in the capitalism to get ahead in life. As long as it's legal, it's good for us.

Since we pay well, don't see any problem.

InGodsName··on It is fast or it is wrong
Yeaaa i also used git kraken to learn but now i find it bit bulky.
InGodsName··on It is fast or it is wrong
My favourite text editor is VSCode.

I use sublime as a notepad.

Tixati is my favourite torrent client.

1. Yea, we had a law firm on contract.

2. We didn't hire contractors, they are employees and have more skin in the game.

That said, no employee ever went on Twitter or court.

InGodsName··on PHP + Ajax scripts or the modern ecosystem dilemma
In CGI ecosystem there was no kinesis, cloudwatch, Dynamodb.

Considering serverless lambda i isolation isn't a worthy comparison.

InGodsName··on PHP + Ajax scripts or the modern ecosystem dilemma
I don't like php.

I need Go with ADT and pattern matching.

In JavaScript i also want to see JS being used as vmcode and a higher level language similar to Go with ADTs/pattern matching compiling down to JS and everyone using it.

I'd use these but none of them has Killbill or ServiceBot plug-in.

InGodsName··on Ask HN: What elements of websites annoy you the most?
1. Quora paywall

2. Reddit install app nag

3. Paywalls on media/news sites

Does most of the software involve mission critical work where failure means death or loss of vital organs?

Outside some key areas, most of the software work is not that important.

So this comparison isn't fair.

My girlfriend does React/JS apps for local businesses and she's teaching some other women in the neighbor too.

No she doesn't know how webpack works but she has learned enough to produce results.

Whenever she gets stuck, she looks for Stackoverflow or GitHub issue links and 80% of the time finds the answer there.

Rest of the time she gives up on a tool and uses other tool which doesn't suffer from the same issue.

Sorry i used to think i am very smart because i am a programmer but it turns out others were simply not introduced to the programming way. Programming is wayy easier now with all the tooling/guides/courses available now.

InGodsName··on The next big blue collar job is coding (2017)
My girlfriend who is nurse basically by training, took bootcamp and now she makes react frontend + Prototype in Sketch which is what she really enjoys.

She told me this area of work is really good as you can learn from YouTube and put it to practise right away without worrying about that you'd screw up.

Is there anything similar for Go?
InGodsName··on Show HN: Pg-extend-rs – Easy Postgres extensions in Rust
Does it have additional overheard compared to rolling in C/c++?
InGodsName··on Please do not attempt to simplify this code
Precisely, you can only move the complexity around but not eliminate it completely.
InGodsName··on ULID: Universally Unique Lexicographically Sortable Identifier
Not just that, you can use range queries like this: https://redis.io/commands/zrangebylex

To find events between two specific points.

It can also be used in Dynamodb which is what we use in adtech.

InGodsName··on ULID: Universally Unique Lexicographically Sortable Identifier
Did you account for long tail events?
InGodsName··on Ask HN: How to optimize Electron apps?
I write in rust, look into native extension, nodejs
InGodsName··on Users report losing Bitcoin in clever hack of Electrum wallets
I've even sent you an email to which you never replied.

No i am not trolling. What's stupid about it? Did you even read that some users posted a list of people who were kidnapped because of bitcoins. Or are you saying those who have been kidnapped were also stupid?

What's being discussed in this thread is not a common knowledge. That's why people jeopardized their own life because of bitcoins. So it's not stupid.

I've karma of 238 accured in 25 days (this is after you shadow banned me even without telling me what exactly i did wrong), surely some people who read my posts find it valuable.

InGodsName··on Users report losing Bitcoin in clever hack of Electrum wallets
So you mean there are people who will assult me for a few million?

Everyday i see guys in supercars around me, i never seen them being assaulted when they are clearly without security and they clearly have all that money.

InGodsName··on Users report losing Bitcoin in clever hack of Electrum wallets
But i seriously doubt that there are hackers capable of getting into gmail account and finding the device where i stored bitcoin.

Right now, I've put bitcoins in blockchain.info on completely different pc and backed up the keys to raw paper secured in safe.

Blockchain.info is linked to my protonmail account.

But even protonmail doesn't know about my private keys.

But only thing i wondering is wether blockchain.info can be hacked or not.

For some reason i do not trust Trezor like stuff because the hardware might fail then what will i do?

Right now I've memorized private key, so i can restore it anytime.

Do you guys see any vunerability in this approach?

InGodsName··on Ask HN: What did HN give you in 2018?
Million of dollars.

I am not even joking.

Here i read about Lambda Serverless and started exploring it and switched an entire ad network to Lambda.

I also read about Rust and put it to practise.

One key thing is here is you absorb the info selectively which helps you in your area of work otherwise it's wastful knowledge which you might never end up using.

InGodsName··on Ask HN: What is your favorite open-source job scheduler
Cloudwatch events.

I know it's not what you want but that's all i use.

InGodsName··on Ask HN: What should I do when I'm bored with my career?
I assumed he's single. Asia in particular is lot of fun.
InGodsName··on Ask HN: What should I do when I'm bored with my career?
My core advise is top stop chasing whatever big dream.

Backpack and move to Chiangmai. Look at life from different angle, you'll see people who are barely getting by and still happy.

Start freelancing and getting contract work. It's not really difficult if you

a) can skype interview b) work with git/GitHub

Then find like minded people and make a team. US in not the only place on Earth.

I've moved to Mumbai from NYC and i couldn't be much happier. Our whole team is remote.

InGodsName··on I Got Banned from Photographing Arch Enemy
Wouldn't it be better to fly stealth drone into the concert which captures photos then sell it in under ground market to fans.
InGodsName··on Ask HN: What should I do when I'm bored with my career?
Exploring and making money can be one and the same thing too.

I was exactly feeling like this before i started budiness then i found friends to take over the boring parts.
