Current cancer screening guidelines aren't sufficient and in almost all cases they utterly fail in the early detection of cancers for people under the age of 50.
I applaud anyone working towards a better method for early detection!

I had never heard of that happening to small individual investors like me, and at that time I looked into it and learned that this was typically done because there was a lot of interest in short sales for the stock and there wasn't enough borrowable stock to cover demands.
I renew the loan agreement on a monthly basis and in March 2013 I was offered an increase from 4% to 6% interest for the loan of my shares, indicating that short-sellers were very eager to get their hands on TSLA stock.
I'm curious to see if today's activities cause my June offer to drop my interest rate or if the offer just expires altogether. I would guess that at minimum I'll see a lower interest rate.
I need a solution like this, but allows the storage and potential sharing of other types of passwords not associated with a specific website or service (server passwords, door codes, etc)
That being said, it looks like a great start!
If you have ever considered doing any type of game development, I would strongly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.
Unity has allowed me to be immensely productive working relatively few hours a week. Being able to prototype up a game idea in a few hours and experience that on your mobile device is hugely powerful.
I'm curious to see if tomorrow's early sell-off has a major impact on where the stock stabilizes.
EDIT: Removed actual dollar amount, no need to show that...
We will still be seeing Tony on a regular basis as he continues working on some special RescueTime projects, so hopefully we'll get the early scoops ;)
Tech specs:
Here are a few few technical details, the biggest mapping I've ever done so far.
* 6 * 20 000 lumens projectors, to project on the 160m x 10m facade.
* We'll use high res visuals: 1024x768 on each projector, so the output image is 6144x768.
* To stream such High res format, we'll have 2 "killer" media servers, to run very large video files.
* We'll use the VJ software Arkaos 3.6 to control the video, with multi output and Midi support, we'll be able to synchronize the visuals together and stream Gigabytes of video very smoothly.
* VVVV will be used to sequence and root midi MIDI signals between computers.
Edit: formattingAll of our MySQL instances are currently each running on 4x EBS volumes using LVM stripped across all 4 volumes.
Our primary transactional table is nearing a billion rows, and just this weekend we performed a migration that segmented this table into 40 partitions, containing data back to 2007.
We are currently handling roughly 3,000,000 inserts and 2,500,000 updates on this one table daily. IOWait on our DB holds steady at about 5% throughout our peak (5am - 4pm PST).
It is certainly not Fibre Channel backboned speeds, but the other benefits of using EBS CURRENTLY outweighs any IO performance hits we might have. The ability to backup production and refresh any of our other DB environments in less than 15 minutes, using EBS snapshots is worth it. Especially for the price we pay monthly for this infrastructure.
If you need any more details on our setup or tips in troubleshooting/setting up your own, feel free to ping me.

This really kicked me in the ass to drop weight. I did a fair bit of research into diets and really detested the idea of a fad type diet. But, for me - the South Beach diet allowed me to eat the food I enjoy and not feel like I was starving myself.
Fast forward to April 12th I had lost 42.6 pounds and had my blood retested. My triglycerides were down to 76 (a drop in over 300 points) and my cholesterol was down to 153. Granted triglycerides can range fairly broadly from day to day, but the doctor was very impressed with my progress.
This week, I started a morning exercise routine as outlined by the Hacker Diet ( http://www.fourmilab.ch/hackdiet/www/chapter1_2_5.html#Exerc... ). My goal is to drop an additional 25-30 pounds, which will get me to 170-175, over the next year by eating right and exercise.
