Photoshop runs fine on Linux. I pay for it and use it in Wine. Gimp is hot trash and to add insult to injury it's responsible for birthing Gtk; it's a fool me once fool me twice thing.

What is this mutually shared meme-delusion that Gimp is anywhere close to an adequate facsimile of Photoshop?

I hate when people do this, just say it.

I get told that my email is invalid by some apps, for using a .so domain. Apple was one that would not let me create an apple ID upon buying a new laptop. Eventually, I set up the machine without Apple ID, and opted to create it after the fact via apple.com which accepted it. It makes me wonder if it is intentionally a "Hard no" during system setup, and then a "well okay if you insist" when the user has installed the system without using an Apple ID as a last resort.

In general I don't use a websocket unless there is a "live" component, like a news ticker, or feed. I don't use React unless I am billing hourly.
