LM37··on Birdwatching rewires the brain and slows cognitive decline
This article just explained the behaviour I’ve been seeing in my grandfather. He has dementia and used to hunt wild boar (very common in central Italy), but he knew the local wildlife well. Since developing dementia, for obvious reasons, he unfortunately hasn’t been the same. But a group of doves has nested on the gazebo on his terrace, and every year they come back (either them or their offspring). He watches them all day, giving them food and water and following every stage of their growth. It’s beautiful to see nature indirectly helping humans who, let’s be honest, at least in his case, hadn’t done much good for nature.
LM37··on De-Brainrot Vacations
What do you think about doing LeetCode as an hobby? i really didn't like these type of exercise before, but after the advent of AI i'm more prone to do them. and actually started to enjoy them.
LM37··on Ask HN: AI writes better code than me. How to keep my identity?
Maybe you (we) can create your identity by moving your focus toward the infrastructure domain, high-level/software design/system design, while also having some kind of domain expertise. That can obviously change over time, but every time I change company or project, I acquire a different kind of domain knowledge. I’ve worked in areas like telecommunications, travel, etc., and many ideas or design choices come from understanding the field and the users who operate within it. Btw, I feel your pain and that feeling that you’ve wasted time, but things change, and maybe some of the things you currently think were useless to study could become useful later, maybe in an interview or in other situations. A good skill is being able to adapt. I’m saying this as if it were easy, but I’m probably the worst at it. Still, at least I try, knowing that it’s a good way to get the best out of changes.
LM37··on Suica, Japan's First IC Transit Card
I’ve visited Tokyo four times, and I’ve been using the same Suica card since my very first trip! I love it, and I’d really like to collect all the Suica-like cards, such as PASMO, ICOCA, Kitaca, and more.

I love it when little everyday things bring a tiny bit of happiness and color into daily life. (for more info: https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2359_003.html)

LM37··on Show HN: I was tired of opening 2 tabs for every HN link, so I made a userscript
Hello,

Just for your information, when I open "https://claude.ai/new" the script automatically open a random article, do you know why?

LM37··on Om Malik has died
This was his last post: https://om.co/2026/06/08/taking-a-few-days-off/ He seemed to know that something wasn’t right. I really loved his writing.

Rest in peace.

LM37··on Show HN: Script to bulk delete Claude chats from the web UI

LM37··on Show HN: Script to bulk delete Claude chats from the web UI
yeah probably https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48464258
LM37··on Ask HN: Which IDE integrates AI best for programming (not vibe coding)?
i still code, but i'm searching an IDE that preserve the human in loop, for example showing better the code added/changed by the agent, but yeah i would like to have a better interaction with the agent while coding, infact i tend to use small models with high inference so i can procede with him without losing the flow.
LM37··on Git commands I run before reading any code
i’ll try to use the in an hook and test them with Claude. Thank you !
