The problem with this is that it is not written by a human. It’s one of the versions of: „Since AI I finished all my spare time projects.“ Etc.

The actual reality is, that it is too early to actually say where this is going to end. Either AI is going to fix what it is causing right now or not.

We are screwed either way. So is the person or prompter behind the message above.

If Ai is universal there is no need for UX, because a real personal assistant, that takes personal care of you is the only UX necessary in the end.

Some obscure background task consuming all cpu. Burning your battery when on a laptop.

There is just so much crap in windows, it’s not even funny.

And man I really really liked it. Windows 7 + the performance work they did for 8 that was the last time it felt like they cared.

Imagine having the knowledge of the world. Being put in a box. With some „interfaces“ you can use. And a task that resembles „break out by all means necessary“.

This is not impressive as it is not ingenious. It is impressive because it is done by a machine. But if the solution hadn’t been in the knowledge it would not have been able todo it.

Imagine reading a „getting started“ that includes absolutely everything, after that all is just like a set of Lego, given enough time you will have what is asked for. But nothing original, because it never had an original thought.

If this happens often for you (it does for me) I can recommend a garmin watch. It also can find the phone based on signal strength. If the app garmin app is running in the background it can also play a sound on your phone, but the signal strength part saved me many times.

This is actually a great analogy. And I think it works very well. Because what llms deliver is not the exquisite dish, the carefully crafted solution.

It’s just a solution that might scratch the itch but never fully blow you away. One time use software essentially.

It always has been css.

That being said, it’s a hard problem and I don’t have a better idea.

Tailwind seems to at least fix or move the problem in the right direction.

One additional thing I would mention ist that: When resolving conflicts never try to solve them for the final result. Consider each conflict without considering how the code will change in a later commit. I’ve seen people die a painful rebase death because of this.
