Mexxer··on The Death of the Internet: A Pre-Mortem
What a bunch of nonsense!

His main argument is that the internet is not economically sustainable, but even IF the current infrastructure would stob being supported humanity would find ways to keep it alive because it made our lives so much easier and we can't live without it anymore. We might switch to a decentralized infrastructure like Maidsafe is building for example and that would eliminate the economic issue this guy is blabbering about.

But the END of the internet? That's ridiculous!

Mexxer··on Always Hungry? Here’s Why
I don't think you are getting downvotes because developers don't care about their health. It's because you are saying that ONE smoothie is changing lives... which is a ridicolous statement. And it honestly sounds like an attempt for self promotion.
Mexxer··on Always Hungry? Here’s Why
Is this something new for the American population? Hasn't this been known for years or decades already? That's why there are low-carb diets. Put that in combination with calorie intake and exercise and your fat will gradually disappear. It's not exactly rocket science.
Mexxer··on EU votes net neutrality into law, abolishes mobile roaming charges
This doesn't mean anything yet ... the EU states still have to agree on this and this will take many more months before a final decision is made.
Mexxer··on EU votes net neutrality into law, abolishes mobile roaming charges
This is a huge step. But the EU states still have to agree on that. So it will probably still take many months for a final decision.
Mexxer··on Ubuntu Edge
Sorry but I don't want any electronical mobile devices as my physical identity badge which includes my whole life. The dangers of that far outweigh the conviniences. You just wouldn't be able to stay anonymous anymore and everything about you would be up for grab by the government or some hackers. Also just imagine when your phone gets stolen. Your whole life in the hands of a stranger.
Mexxer··on 29-Year-Old Gets $15 Million to Decipher Song Lyrics
So basically, Rap Genius is just a website explaining what lyrics of a song mean with no revenue model? Not only sounds this like a not very significant idea, the approach to music is very questionable. It doesn't matter what the lyrics mean to the artist or some expert. The only thing that matters when listening to music is what those lyrics mean to YOU!

Seems to me that Rap Genius is corrupting that concept.

Mexxer··on Pirate Party Australia
I live in Germany where we have one of the most successful pirate parties with several seats in state parliaments. I had a alot of hope in them but they just fight with each other and are in no way ready and way to chaotic for national parliament. It's kinda sad.
